Climate - Can We Turn It Around?

Summary:
High-level science made accessible!

Climate change can no longer be denied, and if our societies are to function in fifty years, we must learn to live and operate sustainably. This requires collaboration between science, politics, and citizens. A council of esteemed scientists advises policymakers, and to ensure that we can all engage in the conversation, our volume presents the scientific core messages in an easily understandable comic format.

In light of climate change, species extinction, and resource scarcity, there is an increasing realization that we cannot simply maintain our current lifestyle. We must drastically reduce fossil fuel consumption and learn to operate sustainably. How this can be achieved has been developed by nine independent scientists who form the Scientific Advisory Board on Global Environmental Changes appointed by the German government. Through comic interviews with each of them, various perspectives are explored regarding what is fact and what actions need to be taken. Because geoscience and climate science, economics and technology, politics and everyday culture must work together to achieve the inevitable major transformation.
