Product details
The production of wood pulp or wood grind is examined from both a technical and a business perspective, including the calculation of manufacturing costs as well as the treatment of wastewater and process water. Wood pulp refers to the raw material used for the production of certain types of paper. In the past, paper was primarily made from rags. Due to the limited availability of this raw material, alternatives began to be sought around 1700. In the 19th century, processes for obtaining wood grind and the higher-quality, but more complex to produce, pulp were developed. The production of wood pulp involves the fiberization of wood using various methods. Due to the almost complete utilization of the raw material, high yields are possible. In contrast, during the production of pulp, the lignin content is removed using chemical methods.
