This book seeks to clarify a central question: Did Jesus actually live? Is there a single hint, a proof of his historical existence? The figure of Jesus Christ has once again come into the spotlight thanks to Dan Brown's bestseller "The Da Vinci Code." However, countless scholars base their speculations about the historical person of Jesus on a false or unprovable premise: they simply believe that a Jesus of Nazareth or a Joshua ben Joseph actually existed. Yet this belief is not supported by any historical facts. On the contrary, a closer examination of the Bible reveals that the figure of Jesus Christ was invented, and his biography is based on the life stories of some mythological figures from antiquity, as well as a few historically verifiable individuals.
