Those who have learned to read and write the characters taught in Japanese schools for general use encounter the same problem that Japanese students face: the characters from the official list are insufficient for advanced reading and writing. This volume introduces 800 new characters based on the proven methods of James W. Heisig, selected according to frequency lists and cross-referenced with standard dictionaries, bringing the total number of characters across all three volumes to 3000 kanji. Several sections seamlessly integrate into the overall system of the series, addressing the writing, meaning, and reading of each character.
