Product details
A picture book story with the timeless message: Be yourself, believe in yourself, and you can achieve anything! In fact, bumblebees have wings that are far too small to fly - including the little bumblebee Bommel. "With your tiny wings, you can never fly!" laugh the other insect children at Bommel. But soon the little bumblebee realizes that she doesn't need bigger wings, just a bit of courage to fly. Britta Sabbag and Maite Kelly met during a film project, and it was immediately clear: the chemistry was right. Maite Kelly inspired Britta Sabbag to create the character of the little bumblebee who can fly despite her tiny wings, and together they developed the idea into a book and also co-wrote the "Bumblebee Song." Joëlle Tourlonias provided the illustrations, which, as Maite and Britta say, come straight from our hearts.
