The large fable treasure chest contains 50 more or less well-known fables, complete with many ideas and fabulous illustrations. Students engage with the texts both receptively and productively: they discover what makes a fable. They read and compare fables, search for the lessons, and explore their own creativity by rewriting fables or even inventing their own. On the computer, they creatively design their texts and then present them in class. To enable children to learn independently with the material, the worksheets include numerous cross-references to additional tasks that offer in-depth engagement with the topic. The book provides a wide selection of fables and photocopiable templates for both whole-class instruction and open teaching.
