Abstract: This paper is divided into two parts. The first part presents a classic film analysis of the movie "The Island." After a brief overview of production data and genre classification, the plot is summarized, and the characters are characterized. Vogler's archetypes will be used for this purpose. Furthermore, the film will be analytically examined for its division into three acts, including the separating plot points. Subsequently, the hero's journey according to Vogler will be applied to "The Island." The analysis will also address the auditory and visual levels.
