In early 2008, a broad societal debate took place in Germany regarding whether criticism of religion is legitimate in children's rooms. This was preceded by a proposal from the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, which aimed to place the critically religious children's book "Where Do We Go to God?" on the index of media harmful to minors. Had this proposal succeeded, "The Little Piglet" would have gone down in history as the first children's book rated for ages 18 and over. However, the authors and the publisher successfully defended against this censorship attempt by presenting a comprehensive defense document, which is being published here for the first time in book form. For the tenth anniversary of the piglet's rescue, Michael Schmidt-Salomon has written a detailed foreword for this book, highlighting how relevant the issues remain.
