This documentation volume includes the repertoire of literary works and texts translated into French in book editions, anthologies, and periodicals by over 150 authors from the GDR and former GDR. The bibliographic details for each author take into account interviews and contributions from German studies in specialized journals, monographs, and collected works, as well as book and theater reviews from daily and weekly newspapers. The volume also lists secondary literature such as comprehensive accounts in literary histories and reference works, collected reviews, as well as author- and genre-specific contributions, including those on feminist literature, children's and youth literature, theater, and poetry. Additionally, it includes contributions on cultural policy and criticism, cultural relations between France and the GDR, and literary transfer. An appendix on the Brecht discussion of the 1970s and Brecht productions up to 1990, along with general bibliographic notes, concludes the volume. This documentation serves as a supplement to the book published by the same publisher in 2001.
