A tremendously gluttonous giant snake cannot satisfy its hunger. Anyone who crosses its path disappears into its wide-open mouth: first a mouse and a frog, later a porcupine and a monkey, and finally a buffalo and an elephant. Now, immensely bloated, it lies in the sun and can barely move. Inside, the pushing and squirming only increases, causing it such great nausea that it suddenly vomits up all its victims. The small and large animals, ten in total, rejoice at their liberation; but the snake is hungrier than ever. In its greed, it turns on its own tail and eats itself.
