Some time ago, I was browsing through a specialized book that dealt with social work in the field of "mental illnesses." I came across a brief essay on the application of humorous interventions in this area of work. From that moment on, I became intrigued by the topic of "humor in social work" and began to research it, initially with low expectations of finding much. However, I quickly discovered that there were indeed some publications that examined humor. From the field of social work, though, I found only a very few works, which led me to decide to focus on humor in social work for my academic project. The results of my investigation, I can already reveal, are partly surprising and partly confirm previous assumptions.
