In the mid-1970s, a book shakes the American public: the sex guide 'Pleasuring: A Couple's Journey to Fulfillment' is on everyone's lips. Unfortunately, the authors, the Mellow couple, have four underage children. They now have to deal with the fact that their parents are publicly describing their taboo-free love life. And the worst part: the book features them in very detailed illustrations - in every conceivable position. While their parents' marriage falls apart, the children try to cope with this peak of embarrassment in some way. 'Pleasuring' becomes a book that everyone, truly everyone, knows and that will accompany the Mellow siblings throughout their lives. 'The Position' is a tragicomic family portrait that tells the story of four siblings, who have little illusion left about love and sex, as they try to find their way.
