Product details

Experiences of severe violence leave their mark on both the descendants of the victims and the families of the perpetrators. How can the suffering of one be healed, and how can the silence of the other be overcome? Dutch therapist Daan van Kampenhout explores these questions against the backdrop of his professional and personal experiences in family constellations, shamanism, and Judaism. The author first presents a model that establishes connections between generations. Through systemic constellations, he explains how the experiences of ancestors positively or negatively influence the lives of their descendants. Van Kampenhout draws on examples from different times and places: Auschwitz and Germany, Chile and South Africa, Northern Ireland and Spain, Jerusalem and Prague. He also addresses current events, such as the murder of the Dutch.
