Just like Lacan's writings, the German volumes of the seminars are partially out of print, are not being reissued by Ullstein/Quadriga, and have not been distributed since 2015. These volumes are now being released successively by Turia + Kant, in the previously established translations, starting with the most well-known among them, Seminar XI on the four fundamental concepts of psychoanalysis. This Seminar XI from 1963-64 occurred during the time when Lacan separated from the IPA (International Psychoanalytical Association) and founded his own school, EFP (École Freudienne de Paris). It was also the first one that Jacques-Alain Miller published in the still ongoing series of seminar editions.
