Today's global society is a product of world history. It has developed from the history of the West. In particular, the dominance of Western military technology in antiquity, such as phalanx formations, and in modern times, firearms, has led to a concept of politics as world conquest and the thinking of world power, thus resulting in a form of colonization of the world from which today's global society has emerged. The Western culture of rationality has fundamentally shaped all cultural sectors in the form of the geometrization of space, the mathematization of time, as well as the sectors of aesthetics and gender. However, it is particularly the invention of rational science and its application techniques that have fundamentally shaped our understanding of the world and our practical interaction with it. Economic rationality has resulted in economic utilization and exploitation.
