The Flex and Flora diagnostic booklet offers comprehensive initial diagnostics to determine prerequisite skills for literacy acquisition and also includes learning status checks for key points in the letter booklets and the language researcher booklet, as well as four picture-word tests to assess the child's level of literacy acquisition. The tasks included in the diagnostic booklet are related to and aligned with the units of the four booklets (letter booklets and language researcher booklet). A child should only move on to new units after successfully completing the appropriate learning status check in the diagnostic booklet, which they reach by passing the stop sign at the end of a unit.
