Product details

The present book examines the effects of information and communication technologies (ICT) on developing countries and the existing conditions for reducing the digital divide. In this context, ICT primarily refers to the Internet, but also includes mobile communication and other services. The focus is on the African continent, as ICT is least utilized there. The choice of topic is significantly influenced by my interest in foreign countries and their cultures. ICT in developing countries needs to be viewed differently than in established environments and requires new perspectives. Combined with the aspiration to be able to use information and communication services anywhere, this leads to very interesting questions, the answers to which the author aims to explore. This highlights the relevance of the topic.
