Product details
Between 1804 and 1819, Johann Peter Hebel wrote around 300 contributions for the Baden state calendar 'Rheinischer Hausfreund', including educational news and humorous stories, anecdotes, riddles, fables, and similar content. At the suggestion of the publisher Cotta, Hebel himself compiled a selection from the contributions published up to that point, which was released in 1811 under the title 'Treasure Chest of the Rhineland House Friend'.
