Due to the tense situation in the labor market, reforms that go beyond just the protection against dismissal were necessary. The implemented changes and their effects are strongly reflected in today's economic situation in Germany and aim to reduce employment barriers in order to achieve a faster and greater implementation of economic growth through additional and new employment. Only through employment can the economy and the purchasing power of the people be stimulated. Changes in the German labor market were urgently needed; however, it should not trend towards denying employees any protection. This book will illustrate how operational dismissals have evolved over time. It will refer to the fundamentals and issues of operational dismissals in normal cases.
