Product details

Antisemitism is currently a global phenomenon, more prevalent in some countries than in others. In particular, there has been an increase in open antisemitic expressions in the Islamic-Arab world in recent years, partly due to the Middle East conflict and the radicalization of Islam. However, antisemitism has never reached the same extent and consequences in any country as it did in Nazi Germany, where it represented a form of state doctrine for the first time in history. The systematic persecution of Jews beyond national borders ultimately culminated in the Holocaust, which cost millions of Jewish lives and represents a radical break in both German history and the history of antisemitism. Despite these historically singular events, antisemitism today is not a significant issue in Germany.
