This specialized book presents the development of a design systematics for the system-specific conception of start-up strategies, enabling the creation of individualized start-up strategies tailored to a production system while leveraging optimization potentials in the start-up process. Starting from the complex subject of the start-up process and the aim of an integrative and holistic view of this phase in the production system life cycle, the identification and description of organizational factors influencing the optimization of start-up processes are carried out. These factors are first analyzed theoretically and then in relation to the start-up process, from which organizational measures are derived. Building on this, a design systematics for the conception of start-up strategies is developed, based on the technical changes in the field of automation.
