Product details

A fundamental transformation in energy supply is currently taking place. As energy demand continues to rise, fossil resources are dwindling, and global climate protection requires a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, the German electricity industry is facing a restructuring of energy supply. To balance supply security, affordable prices, and climate protection, the energy mix of the future must be secured with efficient technologies and an increasing share of renewable energies. Biogas technology contributes to sustainable energy supply and is gaining importance while still holding enormous potential: Currently, around 2,700 biogas plants are in operation in Germany; with agricultural waste alone, over 200,000 plants could be realized. Biogas is primarily used for distribution so far.
