Product details
This study develops a Data Warehouse (DWH) that allows for the capture and analysis of surgical workflows. To achieve this, conventional Data Warehouse technology is adapted to the specific requirements that arise in connection with the analysis of process descriptions. It demonstrates how the user can obtain a multidimensional view of both the operations and their workflow components, enabling them to define the key performance indicators to be analyzed and aggregate them along various dimensions and levels of detail. Initially, the author introduces the fundamental topics of Business Intelligence (BI), Data Warehouse, multidimensional data modeling, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), and Business Process Intelligence (BPI). In the initial design phase of the DWH, the structuring of the surgical workflow is addressed.
