The subject of this book is the representation of the main themes in the lyrical work of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, which holds a significant place in 20th-century Polish literature. Her work reflects, among other things, the new status of women in Polish society after World War I. The focus here is primarily on nature in all its facets as a recurring motif. Research often distinguishes three periods in Pawlikowska's oeuvre. Their temporal classification is based on the publication of her poetry collections and on events from the poetess's life that mark a strong turning point in both her life and her work. In 1922, her debut poetry collection Niebieskie migdały (The Blue Almonds) was published. With this collection, a new magnificent poet of love and eroticism emerged.
