The economy is constantly searching for new strategies for growth and optimization. In the area of personnel strategies, new solutions are also being sought. As a result, the term Diversity Management first emerged in the USA in the 1990s. Diversity is primarily translated as variety or difference. However, the term encompasses much more than just this simple translation. In Germany, diversity is still largely in its infancy. It took some time for the topic to be discussed in the German economy. Certainly, the question arises whether diversity is merely a new management method or a long-term cross-cutting issue that can be meaningfully implemented in companies. One thing is certain: humanity is very diverse in terms of external characteristics as well as internal ones.
