With the end of the industrial age, the ever-faster technical progress, and a more networked knowledge and information society, it must be critically questioned whether classic, bureaucratic management structures are still up to date. It is certainly the manager's job to ensure that deadlines are met, goals achieved, and tasks performed, but the soft factors should by no means be underestimated. Effectiveness and humanity, or in other words, professionalism and humanity, are enormously important, if not absolutely necessary, for a company to survive in the increasingly tough market for the favor of the customer. The aim of this work is to encourage responsible managers to reflect on their management style and to provide them with new ideas on how they can improve their management.
