The employee interview is a widely used management tool, yet the common literature primarily provides implementation advice and lacks approaches on how leaders can reintroduce this tool. However, the employee interview should be implemented company-wide and should not exhibit significant differences. There are some obstacles in corporate culture and leadership styles that need to be considered to effectively utilize the employee interview tool. Middle and lower management levels may have developed routines in previous processes that need to be encouraged and supported for a new tool to be implemented, which can provide a platform for training needs and desires.
