The present book includes the realization of experiments with a microcontroller based on the PIC Universal Board. These serve as a foundation for designing an internship in microcontroller technology at universities. The first part provides the reader with an introduction to the tools used. This includes the PIC Universal Board, the microcontroller PIC 18F458, as well as the programmer and the development environment MPLAB v8.10 with C18-Compiler v3.22. A collection of ideas for possible projects follows in the next section. From these, four experiments with different thematic focuses are selected for realization. This involves not only programming but also the development of three circuit boards that can be plugged into the development board as peripherals. Finally, three internship projects are derived from the created projects.
