Since the beginning of agricultural activities, the climate has been of utmost interest to land managers, as it influences plant growth, soil quality, and agricultural production. Against this backdrop, attention is directed towards climate change, which is generally considered a serious environmental and economic problem of global scale. This study explains the interdependencies between agriculture and climate change. On one hand, agriculture is one of the largest contributors to climate change, making its inclusion in climate protection goals long overdue. On the other hand, agriculture is the economic sector whose production is most dependent on the climate. What forms has climate change already taken? What greenhouse gases does agriculture emit and in what quantities? Why?.
