Product details

The term slavery is commonly associated with the 18th and 19th centuries in America. Thousands of Africans were kidnapped from their homeland to work on plantations or in wealthy households. Even today, slavery persists, manifesting in different forms such as human trafficking, child labor, forced prostitution, forced marriage, and labor slavery. Although relevant laws exist to address these crimes, combating them is challenging. This study therefore focuses on the question of how reality differs from theory. What laws are enacted and how are they implemented? Due to the complexity and relevance of the topic, only the currently applicable laws, resolutions, and regulations will be discussed in order to approach the issue of modern slavery in China and the current legal protections in place.
