Media usage in general, and radio usage in particular, has changed in recent years and decades, just as it will continue to change in the coming years. For almost ten years, the essential survey of listener numbers for the financing of private radio stations has been conducted using the often criticized survey system of the Media Analysis Radio. During this time, numerous new survey methods have been tested and partially implemented in other European countries. One of the systems that has been in use for several years is Switzerland's Radiocontrol system, where participants are no longer surveyed but instead their listening behavior is measured through a wristwatch. The author investigates in his work whether Radiocontrol can indeed provide more reliable and accurate results than Media-A.
