In the context of a multimodal pain therapy, patients with chronic pain conditions are treated. Since medical interventions such as surgeries, injection therapies, and medications are often exhausted for these patients, and they still experience significant physical limitations as well as psychological and social deficits, physiotherapy combined with psychology takes on special importance. In this multimodal therapeutic approach, patients are encouraged to learn how to cope better with their pain. They should regain control over their issues, as many feel at the mercy of their pain. Since there are often no satisfactory explanations for various chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic back pain, CRPS, headaches, and migraines, it is necessary to develop a practical pain model in collaboration with the patients.
