Since the beginning of the 1980s, approximately one in four German citizens has engaged in sports. This trend, significantly influenced by the fitness wave introduced from the USA to Europe, brought with it a new sense of lifestyle associated with physical activity. Suddenly, sports were closely linked to health and well-being. Regardless of the reasons people engage in sports, the most crucial prerequisites for physical activity are the willingness and ability of the body to perform. To achieve success, optimal training, the right mental attitude, and a sport-specific diet are considered essential for the best possible performance of the body. Particularly through a needs-based or sport-specific diet, performance improvements of up to 15% can be achieved.
