It is the professional obligation of every social educator to substantiate the belief in their client's potential through their acquired competencies. For belief alone does not enable one to fulfill the responsible tasks of a social educator. In this context, one's own social pedagogical competencies play as significant a role as the trust in the dormant resources within the client. One way to address the constant experimentation with new solutions and to methodically ground the necessary curiosity of the social educator is through systemic approaches, which aim to broaden the clients' perspectives. These systemic approaches, based on the development of an appropriate foundational attitude, are capable of expanding one's own possibilities for professional action. The presentation of these approaches will be used to verify whether this is true.
