Product details
The term 3D web is currently gaining popularity in the media, as it is anticipated that true 3D content in browser-based applications will become the standard in the next technological revolution. Consequently, the demand for 3D web applications will also increase. But how can these be systematically created? This study developed a procedural model for this purpose: the 3DWebVM. It outlines the steps to take when developing a 3D web application. Initially, the classic phases of web engineering and multimedia production were examined, leading to the development of a combined phase model. Subsequently, specific procedural models from web engineering and multimedia production were evaluated to determine the extent to which they cover the phases of the 3DWebVM and can therefore be used as references in these phases. The procedural model has been identified as Workflow.
