We are a part of the Earth. These are some wisdoms of the Indians from the eponymous pocketbook by Wiesbaden journalist and author Ernst Probst. Many of these wisdoms reveal that the thinking and way of life of the Indians fundamentally differ from the notions of white people. The white man apparently believes he is the master of creation and entitled to subjugate nature and make it serve him. In contrast, the Indian feels himself to be a part of the Earth. Therefore, his relationship with plants and animals is characterized by a respect that the white man does not possess.
