The standard work on discrete mathematics in the German language. The book consists of three parts: counting, graphs and algorithms, and algebraic systems, which can largely be read independently of each other. Great emphasis is placed on the exercises, which make up about a quarter of the text. The exercises are categorized by difficulty, and the appendix contains solutions for about half of the exercises. The book is suitable for courses in the field of discrete mathematics, combinatorics, graphs, and algorithms.
