Abstract: Disgust is one of the most fundamental emotions. It is difficult to suppress and is associated with experiences that are not actively sought after, but rather avoided, and can induce fear and panic in those who experience it. Disgust in nursing is often not addressed and does not belong to the heroic experiences. Nevertheless, disgust as an emotion occurs in everyday nursing practice. What is disgust? How is it dealt with, how is the management of it taught, and how should it be handled? What impact does disgust have on us in nursing? This paper aims to address these questions.
