The contributions originate from a series of lectures in criminal psychology at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Department of Educational Science. Main topics include early childhood bonding experiences and their relevance for the development of a stable personality, early childhood traumatization, and personality disorders such as borderline disorders, narcissistic disorders, and antisocial personality disorders. The focus also includes personality criminals and their risk-relevant characterological problem areas that motivate acts related to sexual and violent crimes, providing prognostic information regarding the risk of relapse and the ability to be treated.
