Product details
This book addresses the synchronous machine and its stationary behavior. Initially, the differences between the two fundamental types of externally excited machines are highlighted. From these fundamentals, the requirements are developed to derive a dynamic machine model for simulating wind turbines. Various modeling approaches are compared regarding adaptability, modulation depth, detail accuracy, and parameterization. Next, the reader is shown how the model can be adjusted so that it can be used alongside a wind converter model. The fundamentals of all components involved in energy conversion and their control systems are explained, and the implementation in Matlab is detailed.
