The shortage of skilled and managerial staff, combined with the shift in societal values, increases the difficulty for companies to recruit and retain suitable employees. Many businesses attempt to address this challenge by enhancing their attractiveness as employers. It is known that leadership significantly influences the perceived satisfaction with the workplace and the company, and thus also the employer attractiveness. However, no scientific correlation has yet been established between an ethical leadership style and its impact on a company's employer attractiveness. Does ethical leadership enhance employer attractiveness? This question is the focus of the present work, which investigates whether and to what extent the ethical leadership style defined by Brown, Trevino, and Harrison, with its two dimensions, contributes to this.
