Inclusion is not yet implemented in all areas of society. With this knowledge, the present book sheds light on inclusion in sports. The study shows how sports provide opportunities to change social reactions towards children and adolescents with disabilities. An examination of the realities of life for children and adolescents is particularly relevant, as important foundations for inclusion in adulthood are already being laid during this life phase. The study also provides definitions of fundamental concepts and explains the historical background of inclusion. It illustrates the extent to which inclusion is being established in schools and clubs, and how the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities contributes to this. For a practical approach, teachers and coaches were surveyed regarding their attitudes as part of the investigation.
