Employee surveys are now standard practice for many companies and organizations when it comes to capturing the needs, feelings, desires, opinions, deficiencies, or strengths of employees. Various survey instruments are used for this purpose. The author clarifies what employee surveys can achieve in social organizations and under what conditions improvements can be realized. Through an evaluation study, the author examines the changes in a social organization one year after conducting an employee survey, which he planned and executed himself. This approach provides comparative information and thus highlights positive or negative changes. Throughout the work, the significance of an employee survey as a management tool becomes evident.
