Ashkan Sahihi is an Iranian-American photographer known for his unique photographic projects, including series featuring armpits, faces that have been ejaculated on, or the expressions of non-drug users altered by various drugs. Born in 1963 in Tehran, Iran, Sahihi moved to New York in 1987. His work was showcased in 2000 at the Andrea Rosen Gallery in New York. This was followed by a series of solo and group exhibitions, including at Art Basel, MoMA, Long Island, and Macro in Rome. His latest project features around 350 women from Berlin, representing various professions, religions, age groups, and more, along with a short questionnaire that they filled out in their own handwriting.
