Product details

Unforeseen Configurations Thomas Kiesewetter (born 1963 in Kassel, lives and works in Berlin) designs abstract, almost deconstructivist sculptures. He uses industrial materials, primarily sheet metal, which he playfully bends and folds. The assembled parts, painted in bright colors, evoke thoughts of modernist architectural forms in their entirety. The works reveal Kiesewetter's productive engagement with the history of sculpture in the 20th century, while remaining independent and contemporary. The human body is also always subtly present. This book focuses on the sculptor's creative process and also showcases early models made of paper and cardboard, as well as life-sized models made of wood and other materials. The selection of sculptures serves as a representative sample.
