So far, it has not been precisely clarified which variables influence individuals' life satisfaction. Previous studies have also given little attention to partnership characteristics. The relationship between partnership and life satisfaction is the focus of this book. It also examines a possible change in this relationship following the birth of a first child. The data foundation consists of the first three waves of the Partnership and Family Panel (pairfam). These were collected between 2008 and 2011 and provide a comprehensive overview of changes in the partnership context.
