Since Barbara Köhler was awarded the Spycher: Literature Prize Leuk in 2007 and came to the Valais for the first time, she has repeatedly approached the Gorwetsch, the local mountain of Leuk, through writing, walking, and photography, each time in a new and different way. In her afterword, the author writes about the changing ways she has accessed her mountain, which only time allowed her to do. What is precious about this book is that the author took this time for herself, as its great seriousness and beauty stem from the awareness of duration and regret.
