This publication is based on a qualitative evaluation study (October 2014 - December 2016) that explores the potentials and success factors of the Early Excellence approach in the context of the transition of children and families from daycare to primary school. Based on 110 interviews with experts, professionals, parents, children, and teachers, the following questions were addressed: What experiences do children and parents have regarding educational and learning processes in daycare/family centers? What is their significance for development and educational biographies? What experiences and competencies can children utilize in the long term? How does the transition from daycare to primary school succeed in relation to these experiences, knowledge, and competencies? What conditions in daycare and family centers contribute to a successful transition?.
