Since PISA, it has become clear that language support plays a significant role in a child's intellectual and social development. Therefore, the new educational framework plans of the federal states mandate language support in daycare centers. Additionally, the number of children who learn German only in kindergarten is continuously increasing. However, educators in training are not currently prepared for this issue. Roger Loos offers in his practical book on language acquisition the first systematic language course spanning three kindergarten years. This volume includes a theoretical introduction and a practical course for the first year. Through simple exercises and games, vocabulary and expressive abilities are systematically expanded year by year. The course provides educators with an excellent and easy-to-implement method of language support, even for German-speaking children.
