Between 1946 and 1966, Giovannino Guareschi described in 346 stories what he called Mondo Piccolo (Little World). It is a kind of human chronicle of the early post-war period up to the 1960s, set in the Bassa of Parma, his homeland. "Mondo Piccolo" deals with matters of faith, both religious and political themes, but above all, it tells stories from everyday life, featuring the people, places, traditions, and culture of that region, which is repeatedly shaken by both small and large historical events. In a short time, the two main characters, Don Camillo and Peppone, have captured the hearts of both the audience and the author, becoming the undisputed heroes of a narrative that always includes the community as well. This comic edition of Guareschi's stories presents nine episodes per volume that concern Don Camillo.
